Taking a walk through 15th-century Bruges? Thanks to the new Closer to Memling city walk, you can now travel back to Memling's time.

What influence did the city have on his oeuvre? And in which neighborhood could you bump into him five centuries ago? Through fascinating audio fragments, contemporaries of the painter lead you past places in the city where Memling lived and worked.

An innovative AI chatbot, which Musea Brugge developed in collaboration with FARO, lets you enter into a conversation with Memling himself. The painter answers questions about his art and his time. The tour and chatbot are available in five languages. Content creator Wout Sprangers went to test the tour in Bruges, watch the video:
