Along tracks of train and streetcar relics in the Polderrand region

In the Polderrand region - between Oudenburg and Kortemark - there are still many railroad relics today which, one by one, bear witness to a rich railroad past. Many railroad lines used to make their way through the landscape. Just think of the former railroad line 62 that brought wealthy Parisians to Ostend or the local railroad line Bruges-Leke on which the railroad car called 't Kamieltje once drove.

The tour takes you along old tracks, past stations and signal boxes, water towers and depot wells and under concrete railroad bridges.

The cycling route 'Green 62' is an excellent starting point, but the tour can be discovered entirely by yourself. Download it and gradually get to know the various railroad relics around you.

Have fun cycling!
