Moeras tot Meetjesland

This bicycle tour takes you through a green, rural environment, crisscrossed by canals and moats that sometimes date back to the Middle Ages. They were dug here to drain wet lands and to transport peat, wood, wool and other products.

The route is 60 km long. At various places you can stop and learn something about the landscape around you: when it was formed, how it has changed over time and what role people have played in it.
