Heritage walk Weerde

Heemkring de Semse gladly invites you on the heritage walk of Weerde.
We tell you something about the original village square, about the church, the world wars in Weerde, the painters Verbrugge and Vercnocke and an old brewery.
You will pass by the old lock mill, the station and the Weerdse vijver where you will learn more about the construction of the E19.
In the center you will visit some old buildings and get to know architect Diongre and the "Oeuvre Suisse en Belgique (OSB)".

⭐ The trail follows nice slow roads around the small community of Weerde. Part of the walk runs along the Zennedijk between Weerde and Eppegem. That part is less suitable for wheelchair users.
