Tucked away in sculpture garden Hugo Voeten is Villa Hazenhout. This former abbey barn once belonged to the network of farmsteads around Tongerlo Abbey. It was originally located opposite the Beddermolen in Westerlo. A good half century ago, its location changed. Between its former and current location there is a fascinating story to tell, about the landscape and environment of Landscape Park De Merode.
