Art Center Hugo Voeten is a unique surrounding in the heart of the green Campine region. The building was once used as a grain factory and now harbors an eclectic art collection. After years of vacancy and decay, collector Hugo Voeten bought the desolate real estate in 2005 to accommodate his collection. Together with the Belgian architects Wouter Bastijns and Barent Bulcke he initiated a solid renovation respecting the original industrial architecture. They transformed the current Art Center into a real eye-catcher for the neighborhood. Since 2012, visitors discover a selection of about 700 collection pieces that are on display and permanently presented.
