At loose ends, the new collection presentation, tells the story of jesters, fools and madmen, but also emphasizes the importance of psychological well-being in an increasingly complex society. In five themes, she dissects "that otherness," which both disturbs and fascinates us at the same time. 'Abnormal' behavior was long locked away in imposing mental institutions, but today mental health care reaches far beyond those walls. The exhibition also puts its finger on the evolution and influence of power relations in psychiatry and tries to get a grip on the many labels that are both help and hindrance. It questions the dichotomy between body and mind and shows how imagination brings insight and makes the unspeakable visible.
