To the roots of Ghent's streetcar network

This 5-kilometer walking tour takes you through old harbor docks, along long-vanished streetcar lines and to the first power plants that, among other things, supplied electricity to the overhead wires of the streetcar network. But above all, this walk follows part of the very first route where 150 years ago the first horse streetcars swayed over the cobblestones.
