Flemish Sign Language: The Courtroom

This tour is for the deaf and hard of hearing using VGT videos.

The monumental house Den Wolsack is home to heritage organization Herita. Den Wolsack owes its name to the 14th-century wool industry, but today has an 18th-century look.

At the back of Den Wolsack's garden you'll find the Hofkamer, a showroom dating from 1772. A much-needed restoration was imminent: from 2013 to 2017, this heritage gem in the heart of Antwerp was taken care of. Today, you can see the unique book toilet and the magnificent ceiling painting "The gods on Olympus Mountain" shine again.

In 2019, the clockwork on the cathedral tower in Antwerp will disappear for a while, to make necessary repairs. But you're in luck: the clockwork on the Hofkamer was made by the same workshop! Do you miss the monumental clockwork? Then come take heart in our smaller but equally beautiful timepiece.
