The Motte Mystery

In 1190, Zeger II built the motte-and-bailey castle known as Hoge Wal. Today, there is no longer an actual castle on the castle motte. However, you can still find traces of its medieval past. “The Motte Mystery” tells a fantastic story about the Hoge Wal archaeological site in Ertvelde!
