DUOBAAN XL
Since 2017, the trio DUOBAAN XL has been working on The sound of. In it, visual artist Anneleen De Causmaecker, accordionist Barbara Ardenois and writer Marieke De MarΓ© explore how the world is put together, how it grows and how people live in it. They capture the memory of cities, sound out little stories behind everyday objects or signs, or give an absurd twist to reality.
