Out and about with Saint Martin in Denderbelle

Although Saint Martin’s Day is still actively celebrated in our region, traditional elements are fading into the background, and the differences between it and the Sinterklaas celebration are becoming increasingly blurred. Through 5 St. Martin’s routes, we highlight the traditions and places associated with St. Martin in our region. These routes are part of the more than 5,000 km long ‘Via Sancti Martini,’ a Cultural Route recognized by Europe.

With this 13 km walking route, you’ll discover St. Martin’s heritage in beautiful Denderbelle. You can start anywhere along the route. The walking direction is indicated by a combination of the St. Martin sticker and yellow arrows. Want to shorten the route? You can do so at Bleekstraat and Bermenstraat. The loop in Denderbelle is 5 km long, and the loop in Wieze is 7 km.
