Musical heritage walk through Antwerp

Musical heritage walk through Antwerp

"City Sounds" is a heritage walking tour that takes you to places that played an important role in the musical history of the city of Antwerp. Some have retained their original appearance, such as the iconic building of the Flemish Opera. Others, however, have become completely unrecognizable: did you know, for example, that the conservatory used to be located on Sint-Jacobsmarkt? Using your smartphone, you’ll receive explanations, historical photos, and audio clips at each stop—all carefully curated by our experts. This way, you can enjoy a stroll through the center of Antwerp while being surprised by the city’s rich musical history.
