200 years of Municipal Education - Walk through Antwerp North
This walk, organized in honor of the 200th anniversary of Stedelijk Onderwijs Antwerpen, takes place largely through the Seefhoek/Stuivenberg neighborhood. In the 19th century, this neighborhood developed into a true working-class district. Starting in 1860, Stedelijk Onderwijs built and opened several schools there. The story of Stedelijk Onderwijs’s mission—to provide education for everyone—serves as the central theme of this route.
The route is 5.6 kilometers long and has 13 stops.
