Slow Trappers Walk Mere

Slow Trappers Walk Mere

To bring Mere’s local heritage closer to young and old alike, a “Trage Trappers” walking tour was developed. This tour, which includes a free brochure and audio guide, allows everyone to discover stories about the procession and Saint Bavo, about working and defunct windmills, about Lucien and the Mere dialect, about a monastery and a school…

The Trage Trappers Walk is accessible to everyone, young and old. Special attention was paid to making the route stroller- and wheelchair-friendly, and we provide accessible information via a brochure and an audio guide in the ErfgoedApp. Plus, you can choose between two distances: a short walk through the village, or a slightly more challenging climb up to the Kruiskoutermolen. With clear trail markings, information signs, a mini-exhibition, and surprising stickers on utility boxes, you’ll be fully immersed in the history of Erpe-Mere.

Free brochure available at Emotia, Oudenaardsesteenweg 456, 9420 Erpe-Mere.
