Diest Belle Époque walk
: A Walk Through the Belle Époque in Diest Franz Van den Hove (1846–1921) was an artist from Diest and a child of the Belle Époque. This golden age, spanning 1870 to 1914, was defined by peace, groundbreaking inventions, and great prosperity. The arts flourished, and artist Franz Van den Hove was able to devote himself entirely to his craft. He became known for his paintings of typical cityscapes, not only of Diest but of various art cities across Europe.
