What do poet Herman de Coninck, Oscar winner Nicole Van Goethem, and Mayor Lode Craeybeckx have in common? All three found their final resting place at Schoonselhof. It is no coincidence, then, that this cemetery is known as Antwerp’s Père Lachaise.

This walk starts at the main entrance of Schoonselhof, at the intersection of Sint-Bernardsesteenweg and Krijgsbaan. After passing the guardhouse at the entrance, immediately take the first avenue on the right. Walk to the roundabout. In the center of it stands the tomb of Peter Benoit.
