Inventory of Small Religious Heritage
In 2022–2023, a large group of volunteers led by Erfgoed Noorderkempen conducted an inventory of all the small chapels in Merksplas.

Themed Routes
Toerisme Merksplas vzw created two walking routes of about 5 km that connect as many small chapels as possible in and around the village. You can also combine both walking loops for a route of about 10 km. In May 2023, the entire walking routes will be marked with signs.
