The Secret Life of an Abbey Barn

Villa Hazenhout is tucked away in the Hugo Voeten Sculpture Garden. This former abbey barn once belonged to the network of farms surrounding Tongerlo Abbey. It was originally located across from the Beddermolen in Westerlo. More than half a century ago, it was relocated. There is a fascinating story to tell about the landscape and surroundings of De Merode Landscape Park between its former and current locations. Through this walking route with an audio guide, you will discover the secret life of this abbey barn.
