Window on Vleteren
During a 5.2-kilometer walk, you’ll discover in an interactive way what the village of Oostvleteren looked like during World War I. At various locations, viewing boxes display photos taken in exactly those same spots over 100 years ago: unique windows into the past. You’ll also hear the stories behind them. This way, you’ll see elements from WWI in the current landscape and, armed with this knowledge, you can compare the past and present: inspiring and surprising!
The loop can be shortened to a 4-km wheelchair-friendly route.
