Follow the Pieter Braecke walk

Pieter Braecke designed several monuments for public spaces. Perhaps the best known of these is the Iron Monument at the De Ganzepoot lock complex, which he designed together with Victor Horta. Or are you familiar with his figure of a mourning woman at the Church of Our Lady, popularly known as Treze Bleiters?

As an interactive extra to the “Verstilde Stad” exhibition, there is the Pieter Braecke walk. Follow the route through the city and listen to the podcast. You’ll discover the story behind his most striking creations that color the streetscape of Nieuwpoort.
