Slow Trappers Erpe

Along the 2-kilometer trail, you’ll discover stories about Erpe, the history of the monastery and the nursing home, the church and the war memorial, the motte and the lords of Erpe, a “saddle” that is actually a “zael,” and so much more.

Around three residential care centers in Erpe-Mere, you’ll find Trage Trappers Walks: in Aaigem, Erpe, and Mere. These walks are accessible to everyone, young and old. Special attention was paid to making them wheelchair- and stroller-friendly; the distances aren’t too long, and we provide accessible information via a brochure and an audio guide in the ErfgoedApp.
