Art Center Hugo Voeten is a unique setting in the heart of the green Campine region. The building was once used as a grain mill and now houses an eclectic art collection. After years of vacancy and decay, collector Hugo Voeten purchased the derelict property in 2005 to house his collection. Together with Belgian architects Wouter Bastijns and Barent Bulcke, he initiated a thorough renovation that respected the original industrial architecture. They transformed the current Art Center into a true eye-catcher for the neighborhood. Since 2012, visitors have been able to explore a selection of approximately 700 collection pieces that are on display and permanently exhibited.
