Pop-up Cartographic Museum

Pop-up Cartographic Museum

In June, July and August 2023, Alt-Hoeselt's old sister school will come back to life as a pop-up museum. Erik Van Hove, collector of old maps, will display his magnificent collection there in the old classrooms with some rare pieces. How can you read these maps? What do they tell about our history? And how did cartography evolve from the 16th century until now?

Listen to the audio fragments (recorded by Chantal Swerts and Marc Hellemans) and immerse yourself in the wonderful world of cartography.

You can visit the museum at weekends or by appointment during these 3 months,
individually or in groups. Guided tours are also possible. More info at www.hoeseltvrugger.be.
