Following Thevenet
Louis Thevenet settled in Halle in 1916 and would continue to live there until his death in 1930. Halle served as his base for roughly half of his active career as a painter. Our city on the Zenne is therefore prominently featured in his body of work and offers a unique glimpse into Halle as it was a century ago.
To mark his 150th birthday, this walking tour takes you past many of the places he captured on canvas. Enjoy his beautiful works, discover scenes from everyday life in Halle, and explore charming spots that bring the past to life!
