Walk around the ramparts of Herentals city center
In the late Middle Ages, Herentals was a fortified town with earthen ramparts (vestbergen) and moats. There were also several monumental city gates. What remains of these today? Which parts are still visible? Our digitally supported walking tour takes you around the old town and will reveal some beautiful, surprising spots!
The walk follows the route of the old city ramparts as depicted on Jacob van Deventerโs map of Herentals (1558).
