Conscience Achterna
The Hendrik Conscience Trail runs from Halle through Dworp to Beersel and has existed since 1932. It was inaugurated in 1935 as the first signposted hiking trail of the “Vlaamsche Toeristenbond,” themed around the writer Hendrik Conscience and his novel “Eene Verwarde Zaak” (1874). It literally follows in the footsteps of Hendrik
Conscience, who found inspiration for his novels while walking in the Senne Valley. This route is no longer signposted, but still passes through some beautiful spots in the Senne Valley.
Now you can follow the route digitally on the erfgoedapp an audiovisual walk. This walk is brought to you by the city of Halle and the municipality of Beersel.
