Discover the digital heritage tour and the Oehoe heritage game!

Starting Sunday, April 21, 2024, you’d better stay home—because that’s the theme of this year’s Heritage Day! Dive into the history of Berlare with the digital heritage tour and the Oehoe heritage game. 

Baron Tibbaut, Emiel Hertecant, Father Penne, Father Christiaens, … Familiar figures to anyone living in Berlare. Or are they? Who were all these people, and what did they do to have a street in our town named after them?

You’ll also meet Oehoe, the cheerful mascot of the ErfgoedApp, specially designed for children ages 6 to 11. The little owl appears whenever there is a task to complete.

Starting Wednesday, April 17, you can pick up your activity booklet at Cultuurhuis Stroming or Onthaalpoort Donkmeer. A great opportunity to get to know the municipality in a different way and bring history to life! Have you completed the booklet? Then bring it back to Cultuurhuis Stroming and you could win a fun medal!
