To the roots of the Ghent tram network

This 5-kilometer walking tour takes you through old harbor docks, past long-disappeared tram lines, and to the first power plants that supplied electricity to the overhead lines of the tram network, among other things. But above all, this walk follows part of the very first route where, 150 years ago, the first horse-drawn trams rocked along the cobblestones.
