Pol de Mont poetry walk

Along this walk in Wambeek—which partly follows the Pol de Mont Walking Trail—the poetry of Pol de Mont (1857–1931) is given a fresh twist. Poet Ivo van Strijtem selected and reinterpreted eight of De Mont’s poems. You can find these poems—both the original versions and the reinterpretations—on panels along the route and via the Heritage app. This allows you to discover De Mont’s work in a contemporary way. Using the Heritage app, you can follow the route and find additional information, as well as listen to the poems read by Van Strijtem.
