Heverlee Forest Walk, in higher spheres

Take a 6-kilometer walk through Heverlee Forest in the “higher realms” of nobility, devotion, and rituals. Follow the paths laid out and regularly used by the noble Dukes of Arenberg. Breathe in the divine breath of Apollo at the Linderonde on Parnassusbergdreef. Take a look around Harcourt Castle, now a private mansion. When it was still a moated castle, it was home to the descendants of the Norman d’Harcourt family, who ended up here and became lords of Aarschot (14th century). Louis seduced a beauty from Weert here. They had a child together and enjoyed the ‘heavenly nectar’ from his ice cellar. Visit the beautiful Baroque Chapel of Our Lady of Steenbergen at the “oh so sweet water” and follow the final journey to heaven along the Dodenweg between the Chapel of Mary Magdalene and St. Anne’s Church, surrounded by angels who will protect you from the devils!
