Walking with Charles Pil - Middelkerke

Walking with Charles Pil - Middelkerke

Exactly 75 years ago, architect Charles Pil (1867–1949) passed away. As one of West Flanders’ most prolific architects, Pil left behind a lasting legacy. Although he is best known for his striking facades featuring colorful glazed tiles in Ostend, his diverse body of work includes numerous other buildings throughout the region.

In Middelkerke, Pil was very active during the reconstruction following World War I, collaborating with architect Henri Carbon.

This route is part of the supra-local project "Charles Pil 1867-1949".
