A Walk Through Imaginary History
The Verheugen Collective presents: The “Alternate History” Walk through Diest!
Did you know that there used to be a zeppelin route between Schaffen and Kaggevinne? That the Beguinage was originally an amusement park, or that Het Spijker was once part of the Palace of Versailles? No? It’s high time to discover all this and much more during this loop walk through the city center. The Verheugen Collective gathered a bunch of “fictional historical facts” and compiled them into an audio walk that takes you past all the city’s highlights. Grab your smartphone, plug in your headphones, open your imaginative mind, and hit the road! Psst, we’re not responsible for any potentially historically inaccurate fabrications.
