A treasure was once found in Vaalbeek. Could there be more to discover??? Join Janco the cat on a quest and try to crack the code that unlocks the treasure chest.
To start the quest, it’s best to begin at the signposts at the intersection of Grezstraat and O.-L.-Vroustraat and follow the Franciscan Walk for families and children. Janco will guide you along a route that takes you past the most important points of that tour. Information is available at each point. You can also visit the points in any order you choose. Along the way, you’ll learn a lot about the history of Vaalbeek. To crack the treasure code, you must answer a quiz question at each stop. For every correct answer, you’ll receive a letter of the code word needed to open the treasure chest. Once you have all the letters, it’s a bit of a puzzle to form the word. With the correct code word, you can view the treasure at the town hall and receive a piece of it.
