Walk from the Olen Rectory to the old and new windmills and the church

This walking tour starts at the Pastorij in downtown Olen, at Dorp 18. When you walk under the E313 highway and turn onto Honingstraat, you’ll reach Rijtestraat after passing the garage on your left. Following Molenpad will take you to the Buulmolen, which is staffed on Sundays. Nearby, on the other side of Industrielaan, you can admire a modern windmill featuring a cartoon at its base, from the rich collection of the Cartoonale in Olen. A small walking path leads back to Industrielaan, and after crossing it, you return to Honingstraat. Under the E313 bridge, turn left and head down Dr. De Biestraat to the end, then left, and at the end, right onto Bulestraat. On the facade of Frituur Wannes, various legends adorn the electrical boxes. Crossing the road brings you to the renovated village square and the pot fountain. Straight ahead, you’ll arrive on Sint-Maartenstraat and at the renovated Sint-Martinus Church. Behind the church, cross the cemetery to the path that leads into the garden of the rectory.
