Bunker walk in Dessel
Gilbert Furniere, who fought as a sergeant in Dessel, takes you past bunkers and trenches along the Dessel-Schoten Canal. Using historical sites and artifacts, he recounts the German invasion and the May days of 1940.
This interactive walk is designed for children ages 10 to 13. They can take this tour on their own, with their family, or with their class. Participants can pick up a free educational brochure at the visitor center of the Sas4 Tower, the starting point of the walk.
