Heritage walk in Zemst
Our walk takes you through the historic center of Zemst to the once-important toll bridge over the Zenne River, which marked the border between the spheres of influence of the Lords of Grimbergen and the Dukes of Brabant. Continuing along the Zenne, you’ll come to the Chapel of Our Lady of ‘t Hammeke and be led to the Waterken, where the river could once be crossed on foot—toll-free. Along the way, we’ll tell you about Releghem Castle and its connection to the old retirement home. You’ll return to the starting point via old church paths.
Heemkring de Semse wishes you an interesting and enjoyable walk.
