Heers Castle
In Heers lies a beautiful 15th-century castle estate, one of the best-preserved upper- and lower-manor estates in Flanders. The estate has been in a state of disrepair for several decades. But in 2017, a group of volunteers decided to take the estate under their wing. They cleared the overgrown and neglected grounds around the castle, making the estate safe to visit again. Little by little, the old English castle park is being restored.
