Hofstade heritage walk

Hofstade heritage walk

Your walk begins at one of the village’s historic buildings. From the historic center of this municipality, you’ll pass by the Hofstaad castles on your way to the Leuven-Dijle Canal. This canal was opened on December 21, 1752, and as a result, the hamlet was cut off from its municipality of Muizen. Before returning to your starting point, pay a visit to the estate popularly known as “Hofstade-Plage.” Nothing prevents you from extending your walk within the estate itself or enjoying the many recreational opportunities it offers. From the estate, you’ll be guided back to the starting point.
Heemkring de Semse wishes you an interesting and enjoyable walk.
