In 1958, Brussels briefly became the center of the world for six months. Expo ’58 Brussels was the first world’s fair after World War II. Our country was swept up in a wave of euphoria. There was great faith in the future. Several witnesses share their experiences of this event, which is etched in Belgium’s collective memory.
