Story walk: The mammoth of Alken—truth, legend, or urban myth?

This 4.3-kilometer walk takes you past several historic sites in Alken and introduces you to many fascinating stories about this village, located in Haspengouw. The tour starts at the 't Laantje Free Elementary School and ends at St. Aldegondis Church.

This walk was made possible with the support of Erfgoed Haspengouw and was developed and organized by the parent council of the 't Laantje Free Elementary School.
The stories came to life thanks to the Alken Historical Society and the Zoe was Alleke Local History and Crafts Museum
