The Leuven Annals

On this walk, you’ll learn about the “Jaartallenleven,” a unique Leuven tradition in which men and women in their 40s come together as they approach their 50th birthdays. UNESCO has even included the Jaartallenleven on its list of intangible cultural heritage. Marc Juchtmans, a member of the Men of 55, will guide you through 10 locations. As the icing on the cake, he’ll share some juicy stories in the Leuven dialect.

This walk is a collaboration between the Royal Association of the Jaartallen, the Women of the Jaartallen, the Academy of Leuven, and the Leuven Heritage Unit.
