An artistic journey through the past, present, and future of the Oud Zwembad Spiere-Helkijn/Ancienne piscine d’Espierres-Helchin

Leiedal has organized an outdoor exhibition showcasing various concepts for the artistic revitalization of the Oud Zwembad Spiere-Helkijn, located on the banks of the Scheldt. No fewer than eight artists have immersed themselves in the history of this unique heritage gem and present their original interpretation of the Oud Zwembad.

Leiedal is exhibiting these eight concepts for the Oud Zwembad outdoors. Drawing on their own vision of the past, present, and future of the Oud Zwembad, each artist presents an unconventional artistic interpretation. The various concepts are displayed on the wall of the changing rooms lining the former pool, where nostalgic archival photos have long held a well-deserved place. Each concept is accompanied by audio explanations available via the Heritage app and on YouTube.
