Heritage walk in Weerde

The Semse Local History Society cordially invites you to join the Weerde heritage walk.
We’ll tell you about the original village square, the church, the world wars in Weerde, the painters Verbrugge and Vercnocke, and an old brewery.
You’ll pass by the old lock mill, the train station, and the Weerde pond, where you’ll learn more about the construction of the E19.
In the town center, you’ll visit several historic buildings and learn about architect Diongre and the “Oeuvre Suisse en Belgique (OSB).”

⭐ The route follows scenic, quiet roads around the small municipality of Weerde. Part of the walk runs along the Zennedijk between Weerde and Eppegem. That section is less suitable for wheelchair users.
