Chasing Thevenet

Louis Thevenet landed in Halle in 1916 and would continue to live there until his death in 1930. For about half of his active painting career, Halle was his base of operations. Our City of Zen therefore features extensively in his œuvre and offers a unique glimpse of the Halle of a century ago.

On the occasion of his 150th birthday, this walk will take you past many of the places he committed to the canvas. Enjoy his magnificent works, become acquainted with scenes from everyday Halle life and discover wonderful places that revive the past!
