Heritage walk Zemst

Our walk leads you along the historic center of Zemst to the then important toll bridge over the Zenne, border between the spheres of influence of the lords of Grimbergen and the dukes of Brabant. Further along the Zenne, the chapel of O.L.V. van 't Hammeke presents itself and you are led to the Waterken, where in those days the river could be waded - toll-free. Along the way we tell you about the castle of Releghem and the link with the old rest home. Via old church roads you reach the starting point again.
