Heers is home to a beautiful 15th-century castle estate, one of the best-preserved upper court-lower court estates in Flanders. The estate has been in decline for several decades. But in 2017, a group of volunteers decided to take care of the estate. They started by clearing the overgrown and neglected grounds around the castle.
