Conscience Achterna
The Hendrik Conscience Trail runs from Halle via Dworp to Beersel and has existed since 1932. It was inaugurated in 1935 as the first signposted walking trail of the 'Vlaamsche Toeristenbond' (Flemish Tourist Association), with the theme of the writer Hendrik Conscience and his novel 'Eene Verwarde Zaak' (A Confused Affair, 1874). It literally follows in the footsteps of Hendrik.
