Diest belle époque walk

Walk Franz Van den Hove and the Diest belle époque
Franz Van den Hove (1846 - 1921) was a Diest artist and a child of the belle époque. In this golden period between 1870 and 1914, peace, pioneering inventions and great prosperity were central. The arts flourished and artist Franz Van den Hove was able to devote himself entirely to them. He became known for his paintings of typical cityscapes, not only of Diest but of various art cities in Europe.
Many of these cityscapes have been preserved and can still be admired today in the beautiful historic center of Diest. Set off with the Erfgoedapp and let yourself be enchanted by Diest's belle époque. Start at the pharmacy, Grote Markt 21.
