Conscience Chasing

Conscience Chasing

The Hendrik Conscience trail runs from Halle across Dworp to Beersel and has existed since 1932. It was inaugurated in 1935 as the first signposted hiking trail of the 'Vlaamsche Toeristenbond', on the theme of the writer Hendrik Conscience and his novel 'Eene Verwarde Zaak' (1874). It literally follows the trail of Hendrik
Conscience, who found inspiration for his novels while hiking in the Zenne Valley. This route is no longer signposted, but still passes by some beautiful places in the Zenne Valley.

Now you can follow the trail digitally on the erfgoedapp app as an audiovisual walk. This walk is offered to you by the town of Halle and the municipality of Beersel.
